The Wellness Ambassadors promote healthy living
The Wellness Ambassadors is a collaborative group comprised of more than 150 partnering organizations. These groups work to provide diverse activities and services to the LGBT community. The Wellness Ambassadors promote healthy living while strengthening community in Colorado.
In 2004, the Wellness Ambassadors were organized to assist in promoting healthy messages to the LGBT community. Recognizing that there are distinct health disparities unique to the LGBT community, the Wellness Ambassadors organized to get the word out about healthy living. From messages about cancer prevention and HIV awareness to how to advocate for your own needs with your Doctor, the Wellness Ambassadors have worked as a collaborative to promote healthy living messages to our community.
In the coming months, the Wellness Ambassadors will do much more! Using The Center as a clearing house, the Wellness Ambassadors will also be a resource for the LGBT community to access other healthy supportive activities and groups. Please stay tuned to this site for more information.
